Things I Miss Doing
1. Manual Perspective
Right now, I’m so used in doing 3D perspective of different interiors that I’m not sure if I can even draw a properly scaled/proportioned perspective or even “tsampektib”(tsamba + perspective) as we call it during college when we were already rushing our plates. I miss mixing watercolors, sketching,or rendering using markers (even if I suck at it).
2. Making Material/Swatch Board and Color/Mood Board
I miss the times when I used to go to hardware stores or home depots just to ask if they can give me paint and laminates swatches. Cutting magazines, printing design inspirations, choosing fabrics, etc.
3. Reviewing for a quiz or an exam
Yes, I miss doing that. I miss having to read tons of reviewers, making questionnaires and of course, learning new things. Also, reviewing is my best excuse to buy colorful pens, highlighters and post it notes. (Oh! the shallowness of me)
4. Model Making
You know, those cute miniature houses with cute miniature furniture pieces and stuff. We call that Scaled Model.
Model making is fun especially when you’re doing it with group of friends. I remember back in college, we would do our project in our friend’s house (good excuse for a sleepover!) and I think we ended up spending most of our times making fun with/of each other than actually working on the model.(good times, good times)
5. Tambay with friends
Whether it be my college friends or my higschool barkada. It’s so rare for us to get together nowadays because we were all so busy with work now. Oh well, I wish that we could spend sometime to chat, pig-out,or do some of the crazy things we used to do.
for you drafting table lovers, which really should be everyone
